2016 is a BIG year for Wellsville Fire Company.  We will be hosting the York County Fire Convention in conjunction with our 75th annual carnival!  We are still in the very early planning phases of both and will be posting updates here as we have them. 

There is a Fire Apparatus Parade tentatively scheduled for 1 pm on Saturday, August 20, 2016.

Planning meetings are being held the first Thursday of each month at 7 pm.

We are currently selling commemorative glasses for $7 each.  You can call 717-432-5428 and leave a message in the general mailbox or you can purchase one at any of our upcoming fundraisers.

2016 York County Firefighters Association Convention

Wellsville Fire Company is pleased to announce the 104th annual York County Firefighter's Association Convention. The convention will be held on Friday, August 19 & Saturday, August 20, 2016, in Wellsville, PA.

The annual York County Firefighter's Association dinner and business meeting, including all York County Firefighter delegates and Ladies Auxiliary, will be held on Friday evening at the Wellsville Fire Company, 95 Community Street. Doors open at 5:30 pm, with dinner being served at 6:30 pm. Delegate credentials will be checked at the door. The cost for dinner for non-delegates/officers is $10.00.

Parade registration and pre-judging will begin Saturday at 8:00 am and end promptly at 12:00 pm. Registration and pre-judging will be held at Kampel's Airport, 8930 Carlisle Rd. Wellsville, PA 17365.

The parade will begin at 1:00 pm. Parade staging will be at Carlisle Rd. And Warrington Ways. The parade will travel south on Rt. 74 (Main St.) to Community St. to Carroll St. to York St. to North Main St. Left into the field after the post office.

Immediately following the parade, there will be a participant luncheon in the pavilion on the Wellsville Fire Company carnival grounds. Judging results will be announced after the luncheon.

We are celebrating our 75th anniversary this year during our carnival, which will be held in conjunction with the convention. We would like to include other organizations in the parade on Saturday. 104th York County Firefighters Association Annual Convention

Please have your registration form returned by August 1, 2016.

Registration & Judging:
1. The registration area (for all participants) & pre-judging for fire apparatus will be held at Kampel's Airport, 8930 Carlisle Rd, Wellsville, PA 17365.
2. The registration table will open at 8:00am and close at 12:00pm.
3. To give the judges ample time, all apparatus that is being judged must be through registration no later than 11:30am.
4. Personnel should be prepared to demonstrate the operation of equipment & apparatus.
5. All apparatus not being judged must be through the registration area by 12:00pm.
6. All floats, marching units, Division GA entries, etc. should report to the staging area at Carlisle Rd. & Fickes Rd. Between                   10:00 am - 12:00 pm. Judging for these entries will be done during the parade.
7. At 12:30 pm, all fire apparatus (Division IC, OC & CV) should be at the staging area at the intersection of Carlisle Rd. and Warrington Ways.
8. Judging will be based on NFPA, NBFSPQ or IFSAC & other State or Nationally accepted standards for apparatus & equipment           based on innovation, functional ability & serviceability applicable to the specific apparatus

Beginning at the intersection of Fickes Rd. and Carlisle Rd.
South on Carlisle Rd.
Left onto Community Street.
Right onto Carroll Street.
Right onto York Street.
Right onto Main Street.
Fire Apparatus parking will be in the field next to the Post Office (weather permitting).
