We are currently seeking part-time firefighter driver/operators. Shifts will consits of an eight (8) hour daytime period, not to exceed three (3) shifts per week. Rate of pay is $18/hr. Please review the qualifications, requirements and job functions below.

Minimum Qualifications:
- 21 years of age
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
- Background checks: PA State Police (Act 34), DHS Child Abuse History (Act 151) & Federal Criminal History Record Information (CHRI) FBI report
- Valid Class C drivers license issued by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania (with no class 1 violations)
- Pro Board Firefighter I
- Hazardous Materials Operations and a current Haz-Mat refresher certification
- Basic Vehicle Rescue - Technician certification or equivalent
- Current CPR/First-Aid/AED certification OR PA EMT-B
- Pump Operation I Course (Pennsylvania certified - 16 hrs)
- Incident Command/Management (Pennsylvania certified - 16 hrs) and/or NIMS 100, 200, 700 & 800b
- Emergency Vehicle Operators Course (Pennylsvania certified EVOC)
- Minimum of five (5) years of Class A pumper driving and pumper experience
Employee Requirements:
- Capable of carrying 100 pounds or more
- Ability to perform prolonged strenous work under adverse emergency conditions, physically and mentally
- Ability to crawl, climp, stoop, grasp small objects with both hands and use firefighting equipment as needed
- Must successfully pass any verbal, agility or technical examination prior to employment
- Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing
- Must have the ability to establish and maintain a working relationship with other employees, members and officers
- Must have the ability to think clearly and use independent judgement in routine and non-routine situations, which may occur
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug and/or alcohol test when required or directed
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment medical evaluation and complete a medical evaluation when required or directed
Job Functions:
- Perform duties of driver/operator
- Provide firefighting, rescue and emergency medical services as needed.
- Participate in the exchange of information to incoming or outgoing shifts.
- Respond to alarms of fire, rescue, other emergencies and public service details.
- Establish a water supply for firefighting purposes.
- Use hose lines and nozzles to direct water streams.
- Raise and lower ground ladders.
- Use fire extinguishers, various hand tools, power saws and appliances as well as other safety equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain familiarity with maps and roadways in first alarm area.
- Participate in company training when on duty.
- Perform house duties/responsibilities and assist in fund raising.
- Follow guidelines of response as outlined in the WFC SOG’s.
- Driver/operators are responsible for inspecting the apparatus when they come on duty and after each use for proper equipment, proper condition, and assurance that the apparatus is in a ready state at all times.
- Equipment and apparatus shall be clean at all times.
- Any tools, appliances, or other equipment found to be defective shall be removed from the apparatus and a chief officer or line officer is to be notified immediately.
- Perform maintenance checks under assigned daily/weekly duties.
